Starting Over

Eight years of my life down the drain, i sit alone crying in pain,
I have to start again I know but I will take it really slow,
they say once bitten twice shy, what they don't say is the pain makes you want to die, but just like a bird learning to fly, I'll get through this, well at least I'll try.
I loved you so deeply it broke my heart, but i am the one to make a new start, I'll find someone who deserves a person like me and I'll be happy again just wait and see.
You should not have been with me from the start because God forgot to give you a heart.
If my time comes to start again I know for a while i will stay clear of men, and sooner or later I will find someone new, the only thing i know it will never be you.
