Starting Over

Starting Over
poem
Lionel Derbyshire

Have you ever been at the
start all over again ..
In that well is empty confidence
Where your sun don't rise.
You looking for a start
In circles.
Bashings of internal pity.
When was your face last
Happy ?
Worried lines are no disgrace
Your face is still pretty.
The hands stretch hopefully
At the start of all over.
How are you going to cope.
You thinking a long rope.
Happiness is at the no no ..

There is a station at the train
And the rain falls dry.
Look to the ant stumbling by.
Pulling a tiny leaf by.
Watch the bird flying
Up and down having fun.
The mouse has passed the trap
The cat's tale is sleeping.
Confess and pull ..
Yourself out of
The start over.
There is another
Train waiting
At the station
Leavin for
New beginnings.
