Stars Falling
“Stars Falling”
The time between
the space of heaven
and here is thinning,
so the last thing I do is
I write poems to you;
love is like stars falling,
you dive for cover,
or stand and deliver
there in that immovable place,
with arms wide open,
waiting to be sucked up
into some unkind kind rapture;
the heavens call -
you begin to think, dangerously -
romance must fall over all
before it's too late,
all hope and trust gone,
it's a risky business,
it's more than a rush
this curtain call;
if eyes could see
like hearts want to,
the soul inside
this mind would -
dance this last dance
with you -
and to hell with time
and with this world.
I’d lie down next to you
I’d hold onto you
make love not war,
look up
with you -
see clearly all the stars
falling
and to hell
with this world
a last kiss
we are co-joined,
after all;
at the end of this world
no more separation
no more war
no more poems
haunting the haunted
haunting the torn
‘cause they’re watching
all the stars falling,
they are becoming -
new worlds being born
Candide Diderot. ‘25
"Love, let’s talk about love
Is it anything and everything you hoped for?
Or do the feeling haunt you? (Haunt)
I know the feeling haunt you. (Haunt)"
“The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.”
"Your heart is the Light of this world, don't cover it with your mind."
