Stars and Us

There are cars and trucks.
You wouldn’t expect vehicles in space.
But they are there.
Stars are simply…
Stopping points.
They are brightly lit, like a gas station.
Everyone is tired.
Soundless, except for our shuffling and whistling.
Until.
A motorcycle wakes us up.
It had weaved between us all.
Suddenly laughing and murmuring.
Stars are for laughing and murmuring.
Sleeping too.
Between stars, we are tired, but we pretend not to be.
There are cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
Between stars is where-
I think we all died.

You've created a unique masterpiece here! You must be one of those few who can see the negative spaces and what they hold. What a pleasure to get a peek at that lovely mind! Xo
