Starry Night Awe

At the end of the day
Out on the porch for a stay
Enjoying the cool, quiet, and peace
After a very busy day attended

Looking at the darkened sky
Full of stars passing by
Each one gives off a white glow
From thousands of years ago

There was one that was different
Logic says that is just a planet
Not knowing what it could be
Drew attention from me

Looking at the orange-red
Pulsating orb in the sky
Awed me with the creation
Of all the stars and planets

How do they stay there
Being put in space with words
God said and it was so
He holds them with his power

How many years and years ago
I don't know but they continue
Their glow and fill my life
With awe and wonder

(Rhyme somewhat)

Well done Sara. We don't have to know, to love, that is the grandeur, of love's self. As I know you are, Iam delighted to be a part of such grandeur. It is Love's logical intention that placed all forms where they are, and causes them to behave according to love's intention. We humans are a different story, we have freedom of choice, and set on fire even the course of nature (James 3:6) with our very own tongues sometimes, to our own demise. Sincere, Love, Moses

Great awe and wonder are displayed in this powerful poem. Creation is the reflection of God's magnificence, and what we see amazes us and fills us with wonder. The Universe is limitless, so should be our imagination. Thanks for sharing it on Poetry Soup.I have appreciated your comments. Love and light, Andrew.
