Starry Night

The moonlit ocean murmurs to the stars. In drowsy rhythm, wavelets lap the strand. They whisper tales of places near and far and songs that have been sung since time began. It’s here that you and I, who’ve sailed the seven seas, have found our piece of heaven, in the Hebrides.

Peter I hear the gentle motion of the waves lapping and it becomes the rhythm of your poem as I read about the heavenly place you have found. What a gentle poem to relax your reader and render them quite envious.

Thanks for this lovely comment, Joe. It’s a nice warm feeling when my words register with another likeminded poet.
