Starlight Reflection

the hourglass worries me not
for its eternal sands
fall not onto glass
but upon the silver beach
that reaches under the liquid petticoats
of your beloved ocean
by which i stand
on this night of stars
lost in the constellation
of cancer

Awesome beauty in this piece of poetry! However, my husband is born under the sign of cancer, and he would look up and say "We need to put the patio furniture away...looks like it's going to rain!" (He's not a poet...just a practical man!) Ahhhh...to live with someone with more romance in his soul...as in this poem...ahhh! Lovely, Nigel!! :) Love, Carrie
