Star Soup

Star Soup Written By Brett Somers On 3-23-16
I stand yet I don’t know where Me and this night sky begins This light is consuming me Woozy I feel like running From the power of this pulsating Shower that’s grabbed me shaking I’m being force-fed Star Soup I can’t move I can’t think I’m drowning in this starlight sink Milky way is there There scattered through my hair So many stars I can barely bare I’ve yet to feel my feet on this mound Am I really here on this Lake Arrowhead ground? I fear this supernatural glare Where my existence so insignificant That my knowledge of self would disappear On this night when the stars were so near
