I live next to a window where the sun shines down on me.
Oh, how I worship its life-giving, everlasting glow!
Each day I try to bend down further so my blooms can be
close to the glass and warmth of rays. But, soon before I know,
I'm turned around to face the room where precious light is low.
Now I must work so hard each day to seek the sun for sure;
begin my driven task of rising up again, endure
the plight of struggling, turning, twisting, for I am resolved
to standing tall again, then leaning in, more sun procure.
But, 'they' seem pleased my upright beauty, for a while, is solved!
