Stalk

Stalking the weakest prey
Before you, your broken hopes lay
Praying that they will not stay
To haunt one more weakest day

Submissive in all your mistakes
Poison in us and among us
All around and inside us
against the wall, the window breaks

Far from grace and poise
Away from the ambiguous noise
Taking both sides, both parties
Never able to choose

Friends and stalkers of prey
For their deeds, someone must pay
At the ends and center, things start to fray
and insecurities are starting to play

Enjoyed reading your excellent poetry today and hope to be back soon to read more Charmane. This time of year we all are so busy and I for one don't have a lot of time right now but I will try. I love reading the poetry of the many talented poets here at the Soup. Hope to be reading your poetry for many more years to come. Thank you for sharing your poetry with us and may you always find the inspiration to continue with your writing endeavors whatever they may be. Love, Carol
