Stained Glass Sunrise

I watch each stained glass sunrise as it surfaces from the sea
     and each sunset, when dusk paints pastels with grand esprit
No fence surrounds my oasis, no flashing lights or blaring horns
     and I've hybridized my roses, so no longer do they have thorns

A wonderful write Jenna, I think esprit is a word that should be used more often, it's a very poetic word, congrats on a top win!

Beautiful images throughout, Jenna. I do like the picture of the rose without thorns but the images of "stain glass sunrise" and "pastel" dusk are really very imaginative and unique! Congratulations!

Adored the imagery you set up here, Jenna, and the thorn-less roses - a concept I have used more than once, full of delicious ambiguity and layering ... I lean toward shorter lines, but it makes no difference when it flows as smoothly as this does - superbly done! Blessings and thanks for entering, My Friend! :o) <3
