Stained Glass Mosaic Leaf

Stained Glass Mosaic Leaf

Harvesting fruit
At its time
At its peak
Ripe pomegranate
Sprout from the earth
Shedding antlers and teeth
Fruit burst
Petals
And leaves
Collapse
Swept by the breeze
Seeded and
Nutty with sap
A morsel of faith
It’s breed
Reap
A luxurious dessert feast

Stained glass mosaic leaf
Ripened and hued
Fall on dirt,
On concrete
Flap its wings
Collect dust and rain
Drawn off branches
Brown it turns
Swift and graceful it maintaines
Loosened, crinkled and snapped
Haunched over its back
Delayed is its speech

Shoo it goes and leaves
A dance of death
A jubilee
