Stag

Star bright is the Morning sun light. The green the red the blues and trees. Water sound a rainbow in the sky. Grey clouds cover my vision but still the light. Always the sound a thumping in my ears. Running fast the thumping lasts. My ears hear the Eagles whine as he climbs above. other animals move under foot. Some small. I hear their feet on grassy ground as their steps pound. the river nearby splashes a song that my ears hear. The sounds give me no fear but certain steps may do. I am never afraid but only one animal scares me. The one on two legs running with death. I will outpace it. But lose the race. A small rock will pierce my skin and make me fall. A life I lived of love and grace. But now what do I face. The darkness has no right to take me the light opens a way. I step through and see the fields so bright so pure. No more danger no more to fear. I am immortal now. The one who ends my life will suffer when it is their time. To kill a spirit as pure as mine. Will end in his fear. Darkness will engulf him for his crime forever. How strange it seems to see all the hopes I ever thought. Here I am seeing those I loved and lost. No more heart thumping no more breath just a spirit. Now I live the life of immortal love with a pure soul.
