Hello Caren, the squirrels will also eat bird seeds. I know because isee them eat the seeds by a handful. have a nice day my friend.

We have a zoo of birds and animals in our yard eating seed. I have gone to metal feeders as the deer have bashed all of the plastic ones to death against the barks of trees.

Thank you Line. My dad spent hours trying to outsmart the squirrels who used to come up to the porch and rap on the window to let him know when the feeders were empty.
