Spud's Night Out

A young potato put his jacket on,
Going out for some dance and song,
All the girls hearts skipped a beat
Upon seeing Spud and his dancing feet,
He got mashed when he danced too long.

G'day John... oh well John, some spuds get mashed, others get baked, and some turn into chips, but we all adore them. Thanks mate - Lindsay

Hello Lindsay, Thank you for reading my poem. I just couldn't work bake and chip into the setting, although it would've been good to do so. Your comment has made me feel quite chipper. Kind regards---John
