Springtime

Rose buds slowly open
up their petals,
as they embrace the morning rain.

Rivers burst with new energy,
as they carry refreshment
and renewed life with them.

Mountains get a new, green dressing
from trees and grass.

The smell of rain
enchants my mind with wonder,
and eagerness to dance
in the rain.

It is springtime!
