You remind me so much of my youth, Jan with this gem, born and living within a farming community, in Wharfedale.

I just love the glorious countryside we have right on our doorsteps. I love seeing the baby lambs and get quite excited when we go out for a drive waiting to spot the little lambs in the field. At the local farm they are still getting newborns which are in a field close to the farmhouse so we see the lambs every time we walk that was. Son had to stop to take photos on Thursday ... it was so lovely to see him enjoying what I love so much:-) all good here no cases for 10 days , hope you and your loved ones are keeping well:-) hugs Jan xx

Love this Jan... We just recently started milking a cow and this reminds me of our new venture. I've been making butter and it's delicious, but your poem is even better... much love and many blessings sent your way friend, Gina

thanks Ilene, one year we walked past the farm and a cow was giving birth in the field so I dashed to the farm house to tell the farmer in case there were any problems - when we walked back home the calf was standing up on wobbly legs - oh so beautiful:-) hugs Jan xx

Adorable Jan. Your observation is watched on video, giving us not only your descriptive write but a visual one to. Enjoyed reading and watching. The splendor of nature and the bonding of a baby lamb and her mother.

It's so interesting Michael even with the older lambs who were in the field we walked through on a public footpath - as soon as we approached near where they were on our walk they would still dive for a comfort feed and I guess protection from a perceived threat. thanks for dropping by to comment:-) hugs Jan xx
