Spring Time
Once again its that time again
to set the clock ahead,
losing one hour of time
for the seasonal chime,
For the vernal equinox ushers
in warmer longer days,
while the on and off rain
gives us a misty haze,
Begonias, petunias, sunflowers
all once again come alive,
while the bees start buzzing
around making new bee hives,
Sparrows, jaybirds, cardinals
flying from tree to tree,
chirping to each other
until they all fly and flee,
The trees all budding
showing off their colorful glory,
the lush landscape comes alive
as if from a fairy tale story,
Whereas the caterpillars morph
into elusive monarch butterfly's,
flying from flower to flower
their beauty makes you sigh,
While old man winter
packs his bags full
of cold weather
and closes up shop,
Spring gets heralded in
with raininess and warmth,
helping nature to flourish
including our crops.
