Spring Storm
Protractive silence, air that's still
Not a sound from morn's whip-poor-will
There's a growing anxiety
The scene requires sobriety
Zigzag lightnings flash, thunder rolls
Hairy disturbed as the storm unfolds
Tornado warnings west of here
Just the thought, stirs up fear
Dear God fill me with your sweet peace
From anxiety, bring relief
Let the storm only, bring good rain
From above, these clouds gently tame
Help me do, what I need to do
Give me strength to follow through
