Spring Morning

early rising sun
hovering over the hills ~
my heart skips a beat

the welcome presence
of thrushes in the garden ~
ethereal tunes

purple clematis
adorns the wooden trellis ~
fragrant elegance

fluttering of wings ~
butterflies adapt to wind’s 
choreography

it is late; my work must start
with reluctance I depart

I haven't seen any butterflies of late maybe a moth a week ago and way back earlier was seeing yellow swallowtail butterflies then they disappeared. I wonder what happened to them.
