Spring Is In the Air
The scent of something sweet is in the air
as winter thaws. The grass will soon see dew.
The dismal days are finishing; how fair
the skies appear. How beautiful and blue!
Where rains of April leave their petrichor,
May’s flowers will appear; a blossoming
of plants is showing rainbow hues galore!
Their fragrance is the whispering of spring.
The plum tree’s amesthyst; the pear tree’s white
will glisten in the sun like jewelry
upon my fruit trees’ limbs; the world is bright
as earth renews with hope and energy.
Romance is in the air too. On the breeze
are flying sweetly spring's first birds and bees!
