Spring Is In the Air
The scent of Spring fills the air, I’m saturated in sweetness,
this time of year, I always seem to find completeness.
Wintry freezes and frigid temperatures begin to appease,
it is finally the time for my gentle soul to find ease.
The tulips start to blossom in the refreshing Spring breeze.
There is no other air like the air I breathe in from the earth,
the simplicity of mother nature has found her gentle worth.
I go outdoors and plant my pink and yellow lilies,
and realize that tender warmth is all my heart sees.
There is no other beauty like the marvel of the willow trees.
A brand-new start from all the seasonal depression I acquire,
and time to wear my favorite kind of Springtime attire.
The nectar from the rose bushes nourish the honey bees,
for the ivory snow and early dusk nights begin to seize.
Although I find loveliness, I still sneeze from allergies.
Oh, Spring is in the air and I am delighted in her joy,
as I go outside and play with my content little boy.
It is finally the kind of weather I can walk Teddy my Maltese,
I love to go to my gorgeous garden and pick raspberries.
I tend to all the fruits it bears along with fresh veggies.
With each and every breath I inhale I know it is a tease,
soon the much-heated Summer will arrive; Spring air will cease.
