Spring Day One
Around my garden butterflies dance.
Bright wings shining in Spring's sunlight.
Winter is gone, you can tell at a glance.
I turn my face to the sun ... sigh in delight.
Getting rid of the winter was a long, hard fight.
The breeze is cool, still carrying a nip
to remind us this season has just begun.
As I watch the hummingbirds taking a sip
I'm thankful for the coming of sun,
finally believing this battle is won.
Winter you're gone, you'll not be missed.
I don't care if you return no more.
Our morning grass is now by the dew kissed.
Gone is the carpet of white on earth's floor.
I see green everywhere and my heart starts to soar.
Spring ! you have sprung ! , I'm so glad you're here.
Please stay with us now for awhile.
This is the season I hold the most dear.
The very thought of you makes me smile.
I love Spring with all of her style !
