this is really cute. I hope she accepts fewer syllables as traditional. I happen to prefer the shorter-lined haiku like you have written.

I do too, thanks Andrea. I took a course in writing Haiku and there's almost no going back to the 5/7/5, for me.

Daffodils do have the loveliest yellow color. I like the way you describe them waving "to greet a breeze." A lovely haiku for the contest. Best wishes for a win! Hugs, Carolyn
