Spring Comes

Winter has cast a spell on all
a stoical spell of sleep and drowse
hibernating since the dawn of fall
from that deep slumber all must now rouse

Spring comes with balminess and love
yes here it is again to melt away
winter’s apathy with its warm breath of
fresh and fondly frivolous play
