Spring Affair
I’m ready to have an affair with spring
Dulcet kisses in meadow’s violets
Under Chiffon clouds, while the spring birds sing
Having a picnic writing triolets
I'm ready to dance in the bright flowers
As light as the delicate Queen Anne’s Lace
Walk hand in hand barefoot, with spring’s showers
Absorb the warm sunshine that I embrace
Go with the river’s flow through the mountains
Celebrate love with spring’s resurrection
Sit on the park bench where there are fountains
In the mist through the air, with affection
It’s almost time for it all to begin
The blossoming of my heart from within
