Spring

Spring is late in coming and March is chilly,
England’s weather seems to be getting harsher,
Friends had snow and here it is cold and raining…
Easter in wellies!*

Easter was in the snow so the winter boots were still out. Spring has sprung and our robins have come back from the south so I will call this spring. Nice poem on spring. love phyl

This has been some year for winter and late spring. Your poem expresses so well your longing for spring Jack. A great entry for the contest!

Brrr))) couldn't agree more Jack, I suppose we could always bore holes in the wellies in case they fill up..' nothing would surprise me, best to you Joe.'

I'm mourning the passing of summer, the chill nights are nice for sleeping, but the chill sea not so much fun for swimming. While your season seems to be changing late, our change is changing in a rush. Oh well, should be good for poetry, seems like it has had a good effect on yours.

Well written, Jack; so far spring has not brought about too much change; even here in Malta it still keeps raining. gl in the contest. // paul

We had snow on the mountain on the Island yesterday - I don't possess wellies - just like walking in the rain:-) hugs Jan xx
