Spring

as the green daffodils' leaves push
upward, through the good earth
and in the distance, mourning doves sing
nature soon will give spring birth

delight will fill each songbird's heart
love will fill the warm air
trees, shrubs and flowers will come alive
glory presents itself with flair

the beauty will decorate the woodlands
so many scents will waft
come alive again, oh, my spirit
be joyful and as in the past ~laughed
