Spring

A lovely morning when we woke today,
Not a time to stay in and waste away,
We took ourselves off to the harbour,
Buying plants for the garden along the way.
The lovely sea breeze and the warmth of the sun,
Told us for sure that Spring had begun.
Cappuccino and some biscuits set us up fine,
For a stroll along the sea front, all the Palms in a line.
Chatted to shop keepers we have known for years,
Bought a few bits and some flip up shades for Fran.
Then we strolled back to the car, feeling blessed.
Back home to our dogs and , Lord, Thank You.
