Today, the long lost sun
hides and peeks, poking
patches of snow to evaporate.
Green tinges from trees
faintly shine through
bare branches,
a halo effect.
Yawning yellow daffodils nod,
egregiously succeeding
navigation of lingering
winter weather.
Lack of spring's sun
contributes to
lackadaisical plant growth,
fostering fortuitous
environmental confusion.
Nature awaits spring's
steady stream
of daylight to
energize and incite
trees and flowers
to bloom.
