Spring-Summer Rain

An afternoon stroll, I could not detain; Together stroll arm-in-arm the distance. Whisk away with the sudden cool light rain. Fruit set, new growth, leaf and shoot existence. Marigold start to bloom, love's insistence. Butterflies swarm; all different colours, Across the garden with all the others. Spring-summer rain, flickering gray shadow, Blow the birds about with their small brothers. I hope it doesn't rain again tomorrow. 4/11/2020 Rain Dizain (10 lines, 10 syllables per line, a b a b b c c d c d Poetry Contest: Delightful Dizains Sponsored by: Beth Evans

truly a delightful dizain, dear Eve. Mine is not delightful at all, but I am hoping that was not a rule that it had to be delightful!! I love the topic of your poem here on this wonderful Easter day.
