SPOILT BALLOTS
During an election, winning hopes go uP
Other than postal voting it is a dilemmA
Usually, people use a pen with a fine tiP
Booths hiding if a cross or a tick is madE
Leaving both won’t count - it is either-oR
Each paper is posted so causes problemS
As votes are examined, a counting bluR
Can it be a tick, cross or nothing to seE
Resolved by someone recalling the RaJ
Offering a decision, accept it or ignorE
So, by the end of such a day so hectiC
The results are not worth making a beT
In dawn’s early light, a win to celebratE
Can it be normality, all pressure to enD
