S.P.I.T
Instead of silently using paper and pen
in a tight notebook that no one can see
I am forced to challenge myself
Expose my gifts
Remove the bandage
and Just S.P.I.T
Spit life
Spit freedom
Spit everything I need
or want
Saying it loud and proud
I am figuring myself out
Losing insecurities
in the process
Swimming closer to shore
in a sea of doubt
I am not alone
as it may seem at first
But by the end of the S.P.I.T
with the smiles and encouragements
I lose boundries
I am free
This is a new area for me
that before I couldn't see
I learned to S.P.I.T
Through the gossip
S.P.I.T through the fear
S.P.I.T until the very last
ounce of doubt disappears
I S.P.I.T cause I'm here
I want to vocalize
this burning passion
So I S.P.I.T
