Spring wakes with promises of inspiration
Light alive with soft and vivid imagination
Hues of hope melting through the night
Arousing the dawn to sun’s glistening rays
Whispering sighs of vibrant, lively praises
Murmuring to God about winter’s fading
Summer hastens to reach beyond heaven
Toward the glimmer of soul’s sensations
Breathing refreshing ideas into the flames
Of a soft, soothing beam of dazzling sun
Welcoming the one who listens with the heart
To all the joy exposed in a season of warmth
Autumn alerts us all to the restful, calm
That comes from letting go of past worries
Wistful longings for grace that lights hearts
With shadows of color, hues in deep faith
Scarlet and crimson, bold and vivid ginger
Yellow that hints at fierce flickers of prayers
Winter cries out to the moon and stars, shouting
For affection that melts the cold, icy thoughts
Brings light to the dark and heals the heart
Who knows only freezing frosts and cold days
When even the sunshine can’t heat the stares
Of a snowy blanket that covers most loving cares
