Spencerian Stanza - Summer Rainstorm

A bright sunshine day, in the southwest, clouds! Black, dark, a storm, the day waits, drought not pleased! Enjoyed dryness for some, heavy cloud shrouds, tumultuous rain, plants, most all appeased. Once all flaccid, now proud, thankful, well pleased, their in full bloom, colours of the rainbow! storm gone, now play miss the shadows, they're teased, the sun now casts shadows, dappled rhythm, such the flow. How nice to dance, too rock-n-roll, find time to grow! SUMMER RAINSTORM(2) Spencerian Stanza Poetry Contest Sponsored by Dale Gregory Cozart 14th of June 2018

Very topical Mick today we've had the stormy winds and sadly many plants are battered and dying from lack of water... we just need a few showers and then to see a lovely rainbow:-) good luck in the contest, I've almost finished my poem, will try and post it tomorrow after work:-) hugs Jan xx
