Speed of Sound
Stop! A moment later had incurred;
a fraction of the time it took to halt
the penalty for might - the sound it heard
was far away by now and by default.
The volume could break glass
It is so overpowering this silence I hear.
A sound so deafening as to drown the past
I am so tired of submitting to all that I fear...
Consider this, if sound were to back track,
a distance from the might like make believe,
just wonder how much freedom feels to pack
an echo into life, and not to grieve.
Consume the distance into the past
It is so underachieving the suspense I feel.
whether rough or smooth, it's way too fast,
even friction cannot thwart those futures real...
