Speed of God
The speed of a turtle is slow
A snail a little more
The speed a lion is fast
A cheetah way past
The speed of bird out class
An eagle's way is first class
The speed of sound is all around
The speed of light is very bright
But the fastest of them all
Is the speed of thought.
God does show us although
Even much more
The speed of a lion
Much less than a cheetah
Faster is an eagle
Much louder is sound
Faster is light that shines bright
Even faster is the speed of thought.
But do you not know
God created them all
Each fall short by His side
No one can truly comprehend
Nor defend, or bind nor end
The speed of God much more than them all
That fall shorter of Him
Who calls all into existence.
