Special Gift

I’m a doll and a girl’s special delight!!! In behalf of a lass who is pleased with my sight… I express this sincere plight Let her have me as a blessing, for such is right!* I’m a doll and a girl’s desired gift!!! All I want to do is give her a cheerful uplift… So please pull her from self-pity’s rift As you sift your coins toward her bliss-shift! I’m a doll with polka dots' dress and designed to be a girl’s treasure!!! It’s against my will to rob her of her pure pleasure… May you share what you have, devoid of pressure For her to have me with love’s enclosure! I’m a doll, and thankful to God for my appeal to a girl’s heart!!! Thus, so grateful I am for your contribution and part Be an answered prayer to a child who longs for me at the very start Give me to her as you enable her “doll less” woes to depart!

I once knew a little boy who had terrible problems in his family. Then, one day, I gave him a tiny basket of six 'trouble dolls' (you are supposed to tell one trouble to each doll). He said it worked! (Of course, I think it simply became his way of talking to God about his problems). Thank you for your wonderful poem and understanding of the way in which a doll can be sent to help a child! (And congratulations!)
