Special Child's Special Cat

Sweet musical meow
Brings magical wow
Pleasing dogs and mice
Amidst blessings’ spice.

       Purring meows of joy
       Pet cat shares loved toy
       Wrapped with kindness’ care
       Binding pets’ welfare.

              Against meowing pain
              Subduing stress-strain
              Pussy grins with cheer
              Showing hearty gear.

                     Friendly meows prevail
                     As blissful licks hail
                     “God’s goodness is best
                     Granting great life’s zest.”

                            Thankful meows still glow
                            Echoing praise-blow
                            While special child shouts*
                            “My cat smiles, not pouts!”

*Psalms 47:1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
