Speaking of Dreams

speaking of dreams the thrill, the screams limbs are frozen, eyes open wide speaking of dreams… zombies in beds kids hiding under them the thrill, the screams… a clown suspended over the bed the thrill, the screams… window too close a monster’s guillotine speaking of dreams… scintilla of light grand peeks heaven speaking of dreams the thrill, the screams

A panorama of the dream state, Kim. Dreams can be very exaggerated to and child, and sometimes, heavenly. Thanks for sharing your thoughts through your poetry, my friend. Bill

I can relate to this one. I used to be afraid of storms myself, lol. And weird types of monster, ha.

Your poem captured the essence of haunting childhood dreams. I like the shift in tone with the sparks of light in the next to the last verse. Repeating 'the thrill, the screams' anchored your words. How creative your muse is today. have a great evening, hugs, Sara

Thank you. Before we left on our trip, had a conversation with my daughter and grandson about dreams…those in childhood. Inspired my poem. My grandson said he actually had a peek of heaven in his dream :)
