Space Gypsies

Open your eyes

What’s the world to be

All indications

Points to misery

Pain and heartache

Destruction of atmosphere

All for money

One day man would sell you air

Open your mind

This system cannot work

No well intended leader

Can rule to save our souls

If we’re not together

Choosing to live in peace

Adhere to justice

A World of Unity

Then it’s obvious

Stars be our only hope

We’ll be space gypsies

Who once lived on the Earth

Space Gypsies

Thoughtful zero-G sentiments expressed beautifully in this very creative poem, Arturo. It's all good, as long as we don't bring along for search party ride, the "hate" virus. Cool write! An instant fave of mine, for sure. Love and Happy Holidays.

Arturo...let's see us stop the violence in cities, We cannot. I think man would ruin the celestial universe as much as he is currently ruining people by playing the race card OT pitting rich against poor. It's a tragedy that poets don't get the blood flowing all over the guuters of the USA. Space gypsies..cute idea and the end of the planet ((( Pangiexxx

At the rate we're going the future does not look at all bright, and as you aptly put it in this poem, there will come a day when 'we' will be forced to abandon Earth in search of a better life. ~Regards // paul

A thought-provoking poem which is sadly very true. One day man would sell you air (even if this could be done it would be contaminated) the world has become so corrupt it is a wonder that nobody has tried to sell fresh air in an empty bottle before the virus and some people would be foolish enough to buy it. What a sad worrisome time for us all, it's enough to drive us all crazy ... Thank you Arturo for writing this poem.

"We'll be space gypsies who once lived on earth" ... this brings to mind those wonderful Isaac Asimov fictions of people escaping their problems by terraforming other planets. Only in those scenarios, they lead to tragedy and just repeated past mistakes (just on other floating rocks). Your unique astral poetry makes my mind wander on the what-ifs of the future. You have a fabulous title, by the way.
