Space and the Sea
timed with stars
a dew drops grace begins to form
the pressure low and quiet
only the earth can hear its existence
i will befriend the moon
the brightness to keep my company
when this sky tells me im small
my significance a streak
shooting stars a lifetimes stretch
our orbits vary slowly
how generations will watch ellipses
sets the future in a nutshell
a galaxy or an acorn
a tree
the carefully folded crane
the tumbling of stones
i read the waves for swimming
youre welcome for a long nothing
the ceremony before my courtship
flirting with sleep and silence
these words a thread to surface
the deep hushes with lullabies
and promises i wont get cold
blankets to lay me heavy
a bed to last till im old
