Sowed But Not Reaped

A seed was acquired from a garden
It was small and very vulnerable
Yet, in good hands tolerable.
It was groomed and nurtured
It was treated with uttermost care.
Then in time it started to sprout
Tender leaves and flowers brought joy
Its roots grew and penetrated the soil.
It grew deeper and deeper, firmer and firmer.
Spreading forth upon and below the earth.
It started gaining nutrients from other sources.
Its growth was outstanding and
It’s beauty was so attractive.
It finally sprang up to its apex.
It bore a fruit that was so desirable.
He who planted, nurtured, and groomed it
Did not taste it yet because it wasn’t time.
Finally, it was time.
The fruit was ripe but
Another came and partook of it.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
