A Maverick free verse
The poet precept but if he doesn’t know it, that he is a poet,
is very apt to blow, for many concepts seek to slow it.
A poet knows that between love and life, there is no strife,
and strife cuts as a knife the sweetness of life.
As poetic primal alive is derived it comes alive.
`Tis a gigantic river that doesn’t strive.
It becomes one’s notion in quite a smooth motion,
that notion in motion is smooth locomotion,
reveals that love was inspiration of notion.
`T was love’s first notion in motion that gave forth explosion,
Personal trinity of the three, in personal glee.
If one doesn’t know it that he is a poet,
his source will dry up, not even a super-rut,
nor dribble of syllable.
Love is the source, of course,
The poet‘s riches of source.
