Sour Candy Apple
a sour candy apple taste
lips to soft not to sin off of
sun kissed i could only see the light
in the situation
making light of the situation
until we covered ourselves with nature
until we gained knowledge of our nakedness
the apple lay bitten on the roof of my mouth
caught between tongues of truth speaking only youthful ignorance
bliss caught up to us wandering between
the valley and me hidden in her garden
her taste is reminicnse of the first sin
and thereafter we knew the mistake forbidden
we lusted after sour candy apple tastes
we devoured our mistake in regrets
but not until the morning after
not until the bloom of the first fruits
the sun rose caught between night and seed
planting the truth in the ground for all to see
how we became the first of many is beyond...
maybe it was the snake in garden whispering
to her about me from across the room
partaking her candy apple lips spread across each
what did i know? just couldn't resist but things quickly turned sour
when he realized those bit marks where not his but mine
