In there your shadow
that is challenged to please you,
ghostly promises
from one whom forsaken life
and will not rest till you do.

I am absolutely clueless to what this means. I wish I knew what this write was all about. Your work is always so tender and sweet. I don't get it. Wish like some of the others I'd get a soup mail of explanation. Hope you're doing well!
