Soup Glorious Soup

There is so much soup, I wish I could eat
Amazing writers, I wish I could meet

Time is limited, I wish I could stay
I come to the soup, to have fun and play

I want to comment, on all that I read
Words give nourishment, provide what I need

Sometimes it's laughter, we all need a smile
I keep on reading, to find the right style

Maybe some spicey, is just what I need
I know the right place, I go there to read

I like Romantic, adventure as well
Even the sad ones, have me in their spell

Mostly the people, keep bringing me back
A big bowl of soup, is my daily snack

Thanks to all my new friends at the soup, I wish I had more time to read and comment on your amazing work.. Sometimes I feel bad when I can't get to visit with all of you. Not from lack of interst or caring. Simply lack of time. I appreciate the kindness I have been shown since joining and this poem is my tribute to all of you. have a wonderful day.

It seems I wasn't here back there, or...I don't know where I was...I'm glad you are here, Richard. The Soup wouldn't be snack worthy without you.

I am Happy for you Richard, we are luck to have you in the same manner. And yes we are an addictive group of poets. I for one can hold this soup page open for hours and hours 2 come.. I'm not ashamed to say it... he he he.. I'm glad you are part of this extended family. By the way the more you hear family, you are going to fit in, and feel part of this family. It took me 2 years before I got comfortable calling us family.I see it and feel it now. Many caring hearts here, and bad.. he he he..PD

Thanks Linda, I have been made to feel at home and as a result have been more free in my communication. You are one of the bright lights here at the Soup.

many of us here feel EXACTLY the same way as you. I always try to set time limits for myself but I just can't stick to them and I think I average two hours a day here at least. Good grief. But I love it. So what can I say? Anyway, lovely Soup tribute.

Richard; nice poem, but don't feel bad. Sometimes we just don't have enough time. At least you know where you belong. Many blessings. Lucilla

Richard, this is a wonderful tribute to the soup members, I feel the same way, during my recent illness, the soup was and remains my safe harbour. And yes, time is a precious thing. Constance
