Soup Glitch

I received soup mail from a trusted poet friend
asking if he'd written something that did offend
Of course, he never could
And then I understood
But return mail to him?  I was not allowed to send

That's the frustrating message I got when I clicked
Yeah, that was very upsetting. Yeah, I was ticked!
Yet another PS glitch
Isn't that (can't type the rhyme) ;)
I didn't try because I'm sure I'd have gotten kicked (off)

The only viable solution that came to mind
Is one that many of us has heretofore defined
Admin, can you flip a switch
So, mail sends without a hitch?
Please fix this problem, if you would be so kind???

I had to ask another friend to message him for me
He was happy to help, but said, "This should not be."
That's true and it's a drag
to nag 'bout the mailbag
But blocking a poet through a glitch is crappy.

Others dealt with this. Does it happen by default?
It's not my doing, and surely not my friend's fault
We're both really annoyed
We might need Siggy Freud
It's time that these vexing glitches come to a halt

Terry Flood September 28, 2022 at 11:30 AM In some ways, worse than glitches is the sheer poor programming in some places. My least favourite is the categories (of which you must choose at least one) when submitting a poem. Why does it return to top upon each selection… drives me batty! As for unintended ‘blocking’, I’ve certainly lost at least one erstwhile fan due to an erroneous block. That’s Soup life, I guess. Well done for raising the issue. There are many problems with the site that will probably never be fixed, yet... here we are. Thanks for your thoughts, Terry.

David Kavanagh September 13, 2022 at 8:16 AM These glitches are getting out of hand Jenna, apparently I’m blocking poets all over the soup, some I’ve never even had correspondence with, just to let poets know I have never purposely blocked any poets, I think these glitches happen around potd, and it’s more than just crossover comments, come on admin, time for an upgrade on the site, nice Limericks Jenna, hopefully admin sort this problem out soon, cheers David Jenna Logan September 13, 2022 at 8:19 AM hmmm.
