Soup At the Diner
Out to find a diner I made the loop
All they were serving was a cup of soup,
Had some soda crackers, stale as could be
Had no spoon, this is not so funny honey.
Called the waitress over, told her I was not happy
She replied ‘what do you want Ol’ pappy”?
How dare she call me by that remark,
I asked for the manager, I’ll give him my bark.
I’m outraged and taken by your employee’s style
I didn’t even get a welcome with a smile,
She served me wrong with food and sincerity
I wanted pea soup, I need the pea.
The manager responded ‘men’s room is over there’
“Take time out you’ll feel much better I swear’
I’m offended by that for my age and fame?
You’re just as rude as that decrepit old dame.
