Sounds

Life goes by ever so silently now. The laughter that once broke that silence is only in my imagination. You have become dreams on which I rely and it is in those dreams I often touch you. I am constantly sorting out the memories of you. I drown myself in the pleasant ones. My heart will always yearn for the peace it once knew. I go on knowing that peace will come. Meanwhile only I will hear these tears that fall and this heart as it breaks. God. How very loud the sound.
